It was not until 1943 that the United States repealed the bill because it considered that China was its ally in the war against Japan.

I'm Chinese and i like your videos but you missed the important part that before the 1800 the British tried to become an equal trade partner of China. The Summer palace that was burnt down by the British ironically had some of the earliest trains and guns built by the British as offerings and gifts to further collaboration. The Qing court famous said "these are just disgusting cleaver tricks that is not worthy of our country's greatness". Not only did we humiliate the British traders by making them kneel in front of Chinese traders, we also killed many traders and missionaries including their children before the opium trade started. Tax that was placed on foreign goods meant that China just didn't participate as a part of the entire industrial revolution. Where as Japan welcomed change and was able to grow we were too arrogant as a nation. Btw China had its own imperialism and genocide at the time at Xinjiang, Vietnam, Korea, Tibet. TL;DR China was not just an innocent advanced country that was taken advantage of by the British. It was a country that was already rotten to the core and very easily been taken advantage of. Not saying the British were innocent at all.

The bombing in Gaza is also nothing compared to some of the stuff seen during ww2 most cities in Germany were pretty much completely destroyed, firebombing in Japan killed 10s of thousands of civilians and that's not even bringing up the 6 millions dead Jews during the holocaust or the crazy number of warcrimes that Japan committed.
